José Mário dos Santos Mourinho Félix, OIH, or simply José Mourinho (Portuguese pronunciation: [ʒuˈzɛ moˈɾiɲu]; born 26 January 1963) is a Portuguese football manager, currently the head coach of Real Madrid. He is commonly known as "The Special One". Mourinho is regarded by some players, coaches, and critics as one of the best football coaches of all time. Mourinho started out as a player and eventually switched to management. After working as a physical education teacher and spells working as a youth team coach, a scout, and an assistant manager in the early 1990s, he became an interpreter for Sir Bobby Robson. He worked with Robson at Sporting Lisbon and Porto in Portugal, and Barcelona in Spain. He remained at the Catalonian club after Robson's departure and worked with his successor Louis van Gaal.
He began focusing on coaching and impressed with brief but successful managerial periods at Benfica and União de Leiria, taking the latter to their highest ever league finish. He returned to Porto in early 2002 as head coach, winning the Primeira Liga, Taça de Portugal, and UEFA Cup in 2003. In the next season Mourinho guided the team to victory in the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, to the top of the league for a second time, and won the highest honour in European club football, the UEFA Champions League. Mourinho moved to Chelsea the following year and won the Premier League title, the club's first league title in 50 years, and the League Cup in his first season season. In his second year Chelsea retained the Premier League and in 2006-07 he took the club to an FA Cup and League Cup double, though they were league runners-up. He often courted controversy for his outspokenness, but his victories at Chelsea and Porto established him as one of the world's top football managers. Mourinho left Chelsea in September 2007, amidst reports of a rift with club owner Roman Abramovich.
Romelu Menama Lukaku (born 13 May 1993) is a Belgian footballer of Congolese descent who plays as a forward for Premier League club Chelsea and the Belgium national team. He started his career with local side Rupel Boom, before being scouted and joining Lierse. He played well and attracted many clubs to his talents. He alerted Anderlecht and signed for the Belgian Pro League side in 2006.
Lukaku continued his development with Anderlecht and made his professional debut while still at school at the age of 16. During his time at Anderlecht, he was dubbed as 'the new Drogba', the player whom he idolized growing up. Whilst playing for Anderlecht, he became the 2009–10 top scorer in Belgium as Anderlecht won the Belgian championship, and won the Belgian Ebony Shoe in 2011. In the 2011 summer transfer window, Lukaku signed for English Premier League club Chelsea for an undisclosed fee and penning a 5-year contract.
Lukaku joined his local team Rupel Boom at the age of five. After four seasons at Rupel Boom, Lukaku was discovered by scouts of Lierse SK, a Belgian Pro League team with an established youth academy. He played for Lierse from 2004 until 2006, scoring 121 goals in 68 games. After Lierse were relegated from the Belgian Pro League, Anderlecht bought no less than 13 youth players from Lierse in the 2006 mid-season, one of which was Lukaku. He played three more years as a youth player with Anderlecht, scoring 131 goals in 93 games.
Manuel Luis Pellegrini Ripamonti (born 16 September 1953) is a Chilean manager and former footballer. His current club is La Liga side Málaga CF.
As a coach, he has managed teams mostly in Spain, Argentina, and Chile. San Lorenzo de Almagro obtained their first international title while Pellegrini was manager. He started coaching Universidad de Chile during the 1988 season, in which the team was relegated to Second Division. In 1990, Arturo Salah was appointed as the manager of the Chilean national football team, and he hired Pellegrini as his technical assistant, and manager of the under-20 team. He then coached to Palestino (1990–1992) and O'Higgins (1992–1993). In 1993, he became coach of Universidad Catolica, one of the most popular football clubs from Chile, where he had an amazing team with players such as Alberto Acosta and Nestor Gorosito, but he could only finish as runner-up during 1994 and 1995 seasons. Pellegrini coached Ecuadorian club LDU Quito to a national title in 1999, starting a tradition of coaches that followed him to the Ecuadorian team. He had a good presentation in Copa Libertadores with the team that put him in the eye of GMs of other South American teams. The years with Universidad Catolica were fundamental in his career as Nestor Gorosito, an Icon of San Lorenzo of Argentina, would later on recommend Pellegrini to the team and his recommendation would reap rewards when the Chilean coach led Los Cuervos to the 2001 Clausura title and the Copa Mercosur, South America's UEFA Cup equivalent. Pellegrini secured the Clausura championships at Los Milionarios in 2003, in which he utilised the talents of Andrés D'Alessandro, one of many Argentine playmakers to have been likened to Diego Maradona. His sale to Vfl Wolfsburg, however, proved a tough hurdle for Pellegrini to overcome and his side struggled to defend their status as Argentine champions in the 2003 Torneo Apertura. He quit his post at the end of the campaign.
